Meet The Team

Tom E. Kennedy

President

Tom emphasizes the importance of treating customers, vendors, and coworkers with the same degree of respect. Whether dealing with a supplier delay or customer concern, Tom puts himself in the other person’s shoes and responds with empathy and cooperation. This behavior has helped him lead and grow the company his father founded. Tom earned a B.S. in Economics from Boston College and joined R.A. Kennedy full-time in 1975. After 40+ years in glazing, Tom has become an industry leader. He chairs the Architectural Glass & Metal Association (AGMA) board and has been involved with the organization and its predecessors since the early 1980s. He serves as trustee of the Architectural Glass Institute (AGI), District Council 21 (DC21) Labor Management Fund, and Small Business Relief Fund; sits on the DC21 Occupational Health & Safety and Drug Policy committees; and sits on the board of the Bridgewater Business Park Association. He also oversees company financing as corporate Secretary/Treasurer, fosters business partnerships, and manages employee relations. He believes hiring good people and giving them opportunities to succeed are critical components to develop a strong team and build a successful company. Bob earned a B.S. in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary’s University and joined the family business in the early 1980s. Learning the business by working in the field, Bob ultimately found his niche in business development. Married with two college-aged sons, Bob enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with family in Avalon.

Christopher R. Kennedy

Principal

Chris primarily focuses on project management and takes an advisory role in company administration. Honesty, integrity, and staying on top of innovations in the glazing industry are traits by which Chris leads. He actively seeks opportunities to help the company evolve and grow. Chris earned a B.S. in Business from Mount Saint Mary’s University before joining the family business as a draftsman and project manager in the late 1970s. He then struck out on his own and successfully ran Oxford Glass Products for two decades before the company merged with R.A. Kennedy in 2011. Chris is married with two adult children. He coached both kids in Little League and basketball for over 15 years, but now happily enjoys coaching retirement. In his spare time, he enjoys golf and fishing.

Jerry Moser

Director of Sales

Jerry handles preconstruction and bids for large assignments, working with the project managers and estimating team to ensure projects get off to a good start. He began his career as a draftsman, but his strong communication skills and ability to get along with everyone from glaziers to architects made sales a natural fit. Jerry joined R.A. Kennedy in 2004, served as president of the Subcontractor’s Association of the Delaware Valley (SADV) from 2012-2016, and continues to sit on the SADV board. When he’s handed a job, John oversees all aspects from coordinating with clients and field superintendents to reviewing drawings. Extremely detail-oriented, John evolved in his career from draftsman to estimator to project manager, learning the nuance of each role. He earned an associate degree from California University of Pennsylvania and spent a decade with a glass company in New York before relocating to the Philadelphia area. John joined the R.A. Kennedy project management team in 2007. He is married with two college-aged kids. When he leaves the office, John works out several times a week and is active in his church. He’s also teaching himself to play the banjo.

He’s also responsible for building maintenance and purchasing and maintaining the company’s fleet of vehicles and glazing equipment, which currently includes high reaches, mini-cranes, flatbed and pickup trucks, glass racks, and personnel vehicles. Easygoing and flexible, Pat appreciates the independence in his role. He first joined R.A. Kennedy in the late 1970s as an inside glass cutter working out of the shop. He then spent time installing and servicing natural gas appliances, HVAC equipment, and commercial boilers in N.J. and Pa. He returned to R.A. Kennedy full-time in 1992. Pat is married with three young adult children. Outside of work, he’s an avid Eagles fan and season ticket holder for almost 40 years.

His drawings capture all the details necessary to ensure material and cutting optimization and efficient construction. Tony’s years of expertise ensure projects transfer seamlessly from shop to field. He grew up and attended vocational high school in Wisconsin before starting his career with glazing systems manufacturer, Kawneer. Work brought him to the Philadelphia glazing community in the 1970s where he was involved with both documentation and project management. He joined R.A. Kennedy in 1991. Tony has two grown children and two grandchildren. When he’s not at work, you can find him out running. He has completed dozens of traditional and 100-mile ultra-marathons and especially enjoys Philadelphia’s annual Broad Street Run.

Tom Flynn

Finance Director

Tom’s financial title belies the many hats he wears. He manages the day-to-day finances and accounting, and works with outside accountants to prepare taxes, job costing, and future budgeting. But he also oversees human resources, coordinates all insurance and bonding requirements, and serves as administrator of the company safety committee. Detail-oriented and a lover of numbers, Tom built his expertise as an accountant for several construction companies before he joined R.A. Kennedy in 2008. He holds a B.S. in Math from Ursinus College. Tom is married with two grown children and one grand-dog. He also enjoys the engineering and CAD drafting parts of his job. These skills come from Mike’s architectural education. He earned a B.Arch from Temple University and worked first as an architect and then for nearly two decades in the architectural glass and metal business. He joined R.A. Kennedy in 2019. A natural caretaker, Elaine provides support for whatever challenges the crew in the field or staff in the office face each day, whether that means shepherding invoices through the approval process or ordering supplies. She’s also a licensed notary. Elaine is literally a one-woman show. After spending two decades as the sole female employee of a restoration company, she joined R.A. Kennedy in 2012 as the only woman. But she appreciates the familial atmosphere and thinks of her coworkers as brothers. Elaine is married with one adult child and three grandchildren. Outside of work, she spends time with family at her vacation home along the Elk River in Maryland. She also enjoys watching movies and reading biographies.

In short, Joe Pep identifies problems and how to fix them – often before they become significant. He has strong analytical and communication skills and knows how to keep crews motivated and happy. Joe Pep served as an apprentice instructor at the Finishing Trades Institute for 15 years and as president of Glaziers Local Union 252 for 10 years, earning industry recognition for his leadership. Joe has built a career in the Glazing industry for over 30 years as a Glazier. In 2016, he joined R.A. Kennedy and shifted to the Management side of glazing. Joe is married to his wife (Magdeleine) and has a Beagle named Peppino (“Little Joe” in Italian). He and his wife have traveled extensively to her native Italy, their second home in Florida, and around the globe. When he’s not working or traveling, Joe also makes homemade wine, which is his wife’s family’s yearly tradition and has now become his own along with family and close friends.

Tom Milcarek

Shop Manager

Tom oversees the fabrication team, including a group working in the shop and the drivers who transport material to job sites. He also oversees shipping and receiving. Tom manages the fabrication schedule to keep jobs on track while also preparing for the unexpected. He keeps everything from tools to sealant to aluminum framing members in stock to supply jobs as needed and to fabricate efficiently. Tom joined R.A. Kennedy in 1984 and has spent his entire career with the company. Minus a short stint working in the field, he’s always been an organized and capable presence in the shop. Tom has two grown children. Outside of work, he can be found down the shore near Stone Harbor, tinkering around the house with small projects, or spending time with family.

Tim brings four decades of glazing experience – and a tendency not to overreact – to his role as a field superintendent. Once a project leaves the shop, it becomes Tim’s responsibility to oversee the work is performed safely and efficiently. He takes his role seriously and values every individual on the crews he leads; together he believes there’s no job they can’t accomplish successfully. A second-generation glazier from a family in the trade, Tim joined Glaziers Local Union 252 in 1982 and came to R.A. Kennedy in 1987. He rose to a site leadership position through hard work and expertise, which he shared as an instructor at the Finishing Trades Institute. Tim also holds a Certified Planner credential. Married with three adult children and two grandchildren, Tim enjoys spending time with family and friends.

In his career, he’s performed every task from fabrication to installation to oversight, and even ran his own sign company that provided him with sales experience. Brian became a glazier right out of high school and worked in the trade for 20 years throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. He leveraged that lengthy field experience to successfully transition into project management for another two decades before joining R.A. Kennedy in early 2022. Kennedy Safety Committee and provides internal IT assistance. Chris and his girlfriend share a Staffordshire terrier.
